今回は新ルール第2弾、紹介していきます！

Eight-second goalkeeper rule - what happens next?

From this summer onwards, goalkeepers will be allowed eight seconds from catching the ball to releasing it, in the latest attempt to cut down on time-wasting.

Referees will punish goalkeepers holding on to the ball for more than eight seconds by awarding a corner to the opposition.

・ゴールキーパーの8秒ルール　次は何が起こる？

happen=起こる、発生する

・From this summer onwards, goalkeepers will be allowed eight seconds from catching the ball to releasing it, in the latest attempt to cut down on time-wasting.

・時間稼ぎを減らすための最新の試みで、この夏以降、ゴールキーパーはボールをキャッチしてから放すまで8秒間許される。

onwards=以降、以後　latest=最新の、直近の　cut down on~=～を減らす、削る　time-wasting=時間稼ぎ

・Referees will punish goalkeepers holding on to the ball for more than eight seconds by awarding a corner to the opposition.

・審判は相手チームにコーナーキックを与えることで8秒以上ボールを手で持っているゴールキーパーを罰する。

punish=罰する、処罰する　more than ~=～以上　award=与える、許す
